The statusbar itself should be used more. People think which buttons should be used in the normal bars (navigation, bookmark, menu). But there is so much space in the status bar. It would be nice if the status bar could be treated as the others bar, that is the possibilty to customize it should be there! If you today edit the * bars in some kde app, you can't setup the status bar.
Some apps make use of the status bar, like konqueror showing the status of loading a site...but there is so much space left... |

Well, showing a preview of all the files means also to load (?) all the files?! (I don't know how it is exactly with different file formats).
So for a big number of files such a preview would take some time. But I think it's ok for small amounts. Probably it would be the best to let decide the user via 2 context menu entries ("Print", "Print..." or so) or an option in control center.
As you mentioned "preview" I thought of this new upcoming document viewer - okular. Probably this applications could make such a preview for several files - but of course it can't handle all documents (it's not for images?!).

Why not combine 6 & 7?
Pressing '/' (in file mode) focuses the quickfilter and you will find you file :)

Hello,
to my mind a great idea - useful for those who doesn't can scroll with their mouse.
I think it's not difficult to implement that Konqueror should jump from one to the next and back...

I agree to have it only as extension/plugin. By default it should not be there.
...actually this tab from Opera is rather annoying for me. The tabs are there for webpages, directory views...but this download is just on the wrong place (my impression). |
