Im really impressed! Surely this is not just a one man work, is it? If i can make a suggestion... You should change the app icon as those things really matter and its not good (I dont know who did it but im just trying to help ;)

I meant that the color could change gradually. Sorry!

Thats the spirit we need!
Nov 19 2008  on content Kontact Plasmoid - Daily Agenda - Mockup

Thats great, i cant help with code but maybe with a simple idea. I think it would be nice if the next event after the current on would change gradually to a more visible on while the hour gets near, and maybe it could start to glow periodically when the time gets very close (and maybe you could configure how near). Just an idea

And is it too difficult to have both centralized and non-cemtralized options?
Maybe you can have an apt-like system that searchs over your actions and detects when you 'install' or 'drag' an aplication so you can actually update and uninstall the centralized way, that is much better. So you can have the best of both worlds ;)

PD: I know its not a kde matter but would be a good idea for linux itself

Genius!
Nov 27 2007  on content Globe Installer: a drag n drop interface

Great idea!! Really, its so simple, genius! Its like installing in os x where you just have to drag the aplication to the aplications section in finder, but much powerfull!!
Also the idea of the red or the blue orb filling the entire space when you cant actually do it other way is great! It would be great to see it in kde4, or maybe someone not necesarilly from the kde team could do it. Go ahead with your idea, linux really needs stuff like this!

already exists
Nov 17 2006  on content 2D accelerated Task bar

part 1 already exists, its called taskbar2 http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=31611
I have it installed myself and its very useful to see if the task that you are waiting for s ready or not wihtout having to open the window, just hovering the mouse in the taskbar.
Very good idea though but someone post it first :)
