| Re: plasma categorie Jan 31 2008 on Discussion | Quote, or at least two different categories, plasmoids and plasma themes here on kde-looks. I think we'll see more and more themese and plasmoid, so it would be nice to keep it clean :) |

But i don't understand, the background color there is always, right ? isn't it too confusing ?
I've tried something under dolphin, these are the results:

so something like this... http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/2232/13or0uq2.png (now it include also the png) |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | uhm... May 29 2007 on content same backgroundcolor for same filetypes | do you mean more or less something like this? http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/9854/13or0.png
(I'm not good in graphic :) )
I think that yellow is too intrusive... but what about if you select 2 different files? if they have the same extension ok, but if it's different, how should it works? selecting all the extensions of the 2 selected files? selecting nothing? or what? :) |

| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Huh? May 23 2007 on content Kde and kwallet | I didn't mean that kwallet is not good, rather is very good and integrated with the system :)
But i think that it misses some features (that i've found for example in keepassx).
For example the possibility to access to the passwords not only by a master password but also by a generated and saved somewhere (eg usb dongle) key or the possibility to generate passwords following some kind of rules (eg. 20 chars, letters + numbers + symbols)
Another is that for example now I've inserted the password to permit kmail to access the accounts passwords, now I've opened kwalletmanager and it asks me to allow or deny it, but i could be everyone, maybe not the owner, and so I'll just need a simple "allow" to see all the passwords. I think that this is not so good for the security
Another thing i've found is that, "you can create just a password": ok, let's create a new one, i go in my wallet, select a folder (passwords), go into passwords and create a new one, for the name i set the "site" and then the password ("mypassword"), so i'll have:
name: "www.myurl.com: cover"
password: "mypassword"
I think it could be better to set a full set of informations, for example:
name: "Url"
username: "cover"
password: "mypassword"
url (click able): "www.myurl.com"
comment: "root access for ssh on port: 22"
expires: "never" (or a date, with a date it could be open the browser on that url in that date with a notice that reminds that you have to change the password)
(in keepass there is also the possibility to set an icon, an attachment and see the password's quality)
what do you think? ^^ |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | nice May 21 2007 on content regexp for konq/dolphin | "or maybe, imagine that you rightclick in the filemanager window, selecting "select", that brings up a window, type "*.mp3" and then you get all the *.mp3 files in the dir selected..."
nice... ^^ |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Icons Apr 30 2007 on content A better usability? (icons) | "ps. is that somekind mockup for dolphine theme or is it style what makes that button looks so good on pressed?"
Uhm, actually i don't know, the image is from Rafael Fernandez Lopez\'s blog ( http://www.ereslibre.es/?p=35 ), I've just edited the icons. Btw I think it's a mockup, but I'm not sure :) |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: This could be tr Apr 30 2007 on content A better usability? (icons) | I think that with a folder with only hidden files would appear as one without files.
Probably the problem is that a user can think that that folder is empty and so delete it. But also actually if you enter in a folder and you don't have the "show hidden files" active you'll see any files. And also in this case you'll think that the folder is empty and so delete it.
Or maybe it would be nice if, with "show hidden files" it show the folder as one with files, and with it disable as a empty folder.
What do you think? |
