i invented my own format. it saves as plain text so it has the lyrics too! and lossless compression in plain text. also it runs in wine so it's linux compatible.
ok i lied. ogg rules. if my iriver could play flac and had a 1 terabyte hard disk in it then flac would be my fav. |

I think instead of rewriting applications for kde (branching, having 2 source trees, etc) the better way is to just use 'gtk-qt' which is a gtk theme which uses qt to draw the widgets.. or something, i dunno. but it makes all gtk apps look exactly like your qt ones. |

mm this sounds very similar to YaST's miscellaneous_other_stuff configurator. Most system applications put an entry in there and it gives you input boxes, so you don't even have to edit the files.
i use gentoo btw :p |

mm, reminds me of the 'Web' style that was in kde 2. i quite liked that, why'd they take it away?
oh and before i instal this, do maximised windows have the close and menu buttons right in the corners of the screen like the plasik one?

I'm about to emerge this,

I'm using enlightenment for now, and running iconbar... it's really neat (using opengl!), and very configureable.
You have to compile a whole heap of stuff from cvs though, so it's not for everyone (yet). |
