We land to Gnome 3.6 ;-)

Messages are "buggy"!

Nice Theme, very stylish.

fine work

I think it's a good alternative to the original. At moment your is the most promisse of all Ambiance-Clones..., but I noticed that in "Nautilus-Elementary", in the sidebar, the icons + text are with "0" distance. "Breadcrumbs" would be nice too if they would be included. The next is that the pre-definided iconset should be "ubuntu-mono-dark", general for Lucid-, Maverik-Users. One more thing. Buttons (default click by enter) are red outlined. It is okay, but I think a darker outline than the default would be better. Thanks for sharing us this nice theme. Cheers

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Nautilus to Finder?
Mar 3 2010  on content Rebuilding a better Nautilus

ok ok ... in my opinion "the users are idiots" mentally is stupid for me, too. But it's part of the plan of Gnome, psss and we have to acept that. Less functionality makes me more worry than less possibilities to adjust the work-area. Finally: Gnome (Nautilus) is doing their own stuff and always with a different look and mechanism than Mac and Windows is doing. Gnome 3 is a good example for that. In my eyes I am agree with that. Every desktop-manager with it's own personality in look-like and usability.
For that reason I saw the mock-up and knew that this never will happen with the Vanilla-Nautilus. It's too near to Finder and Explorer - touch. But elementarydesktop is doing a good job and a escape of the usual Gnome. It haves many elements from the mac-side - that's fact.

But Rob please get down. I don't know why u use fecal-words if someone only have a different opinions and in this case is disagree. I saw you made your Dolphin similar to this mock-up above ... your heart is on it... maybe I understand u're sensibility. But at least it's all in the hand of the Gnome-developer and the Nautlius-modder. Gnome will follow their "guideline". See it realistic.

Cheers

Of course. The lastest is really sweet. But I am sure that a moded Nautilus will appear soon and everybody will be happy. But the truth (main-default) Nautilus will never looks like that Mock-Up. It's more Finder than Nautilus. ;)

Nautilus to Finder?
Mar 1 2010  on content Rebuilding a better Nautilus

With that mock-up I am not agree. Please stay closer with Gnome, so Nautilus is the most important application from Gnome - touch :)

Cheers
