Rebuilding a better Nautilus

Some of you may have already seen DanRabbit's excellent Elementary Nautilus mockup. If you haven't I strongly recommend you check it out; the default Nautilus interface is terrible and Dan has proposed an excellent redesign of it.

What you'll find HERE is MY mockup of a better, redesigned Nautilus. You'll note that it's not all that different to Dan's, and it's true. I can't improve much on his fantastic design. Where I differ, though, is that I'm proposing Zeitgeist and the GNOME Activity Journal to be integrated inside Nautilus. Oh yes.

I've not demonstrated this integration here, but if you check out my blog post on my website, I provide a detailed critique of the current user interface of Nautilus, my solution (what you see here) and my mockups demonstrating Zeitgeist and GNOME ACtivity Journal integration inside Nautilus.

Please have a read, it's quite a long post but interesting and full of lulz, I assure you. I would LOVE to hear your opinions, criticisms and ideas. Let's get this around the net so that lots of people see it and, hopefully, someone in the right place with the right skills will make these mockups a reality.
