guide
Sep 10 2011  on content Additional SysTray Icons

since i don't add icons anymore, here's a guide on how the icons are named:

http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Plasma/Theme#Theming_Application_Icons_in_the_Systemtray

(for creation simply use any svg program like inkscape or karbon14)

Re: Re: Dolphin icon
Sep 8 2011  on content KFaenza

What about the krusader icon? It would be a perfect icon for dolphin. Also I think that dolphin is far more popular than krusader and it deserves it's own icon.
(also: i use wireshark almost everyday while developing, and it gets confusing, having the same icons in the taskbar for two completely different tings)

but besides that, thanks for the icons if you do not change this, i'll just do it locally.

user list

can you make a version without a user list?

python
Dec 15 2010  on content Veromix - volume control / soundmenu

As the you use python 2 in the VeromixServiceMain

you should write
#!/usr/bin/env python2

in stead of
#!/usr/bin/env python

python isn't python2 on all systems...

And could there be an option in a future release to disable the Source/Sink Peak detect? It uses cpu time on my laptop and I don't really need it.

Theme
Nov 11 2010  on content Mockup for a KDM 4 Theme

I like your idea and I have created a theme out of it. (it's not the same, but it's good enough for me)

Well I knew that. But I consider it a crude hack, because it hides the problem, that some programs do not use the plasma desktoptheme icons, instead of fixing it.

These desktoptheme icons in KDE 4.5 are quite a nifty feature, because they allow a consistent look of icons and desktop theme.

Well as i've explained in the description, it's currently not possible to use these icons with choqok. But I've patched choqok to use them.

So if you are willing to patch and recompile, you can use the icon.

(Well, patched is a strong word... Basically I've just replaced setIconByPixmap with setIconByName in the coqok/systrayicon.cpp)

Re: Different
Mar 30 2009  on content FreeSansGrrl for KDM

yes i know but at the time i created (better: converted) the theme i had no knowledge at all about how to capture a kdm login screen.

the reason why there are 2 text fields in this version, and the resaon i converted this theme is, that gdm themes are not compatible with kdm (not to the full extend). kdm does not support the login with only one field.

dos
Jul 14 2007  on content Ascii keyboard input

That's a cool idea if you could simply type the Numer of a unicode Char an it appers on the screen (not only ascii codes ). This is just like it was in those old days, when DOS has ruled the world.

But I don't think that this realy belongs to KDE4. It should be a kind of plugin to Xorg, becorse not X controlles all inputs, and not KDE.
