Re: Re: error initializing on kde 4.6.5

Might be a bug in kdebindings-phyhon > 4.6.4 in arch. Unfortunatlely I don't have that package anymore so I'll try it later.

Thx for the help so far.

error initializing on kde 4.6.5

Hi, I'm getting an error adding it to the desktop and it throws the following error when starting it from the commandline :

Do you know why it doesn't find nepomuk? I have it running and I also created tags.

source link above gives a 404 - Guess I'll try the trunk and see how it goes.

Error when starting simon:
Oct 1 2010  on content Simon

Hi,

I installed simon from the generic binary package (64bit). After I installed portaudio which is a requirement and ran through the initial setup when starting simon I now get the following error message during startup of simon before it crahes:
'Could not initialize scenarios and shadow dictionary.'
Now there is the option to download scenarios in the initial configuration however when I click I only get an error message:

You need at least one active scenario.
Please load a scenario.
Your current (empty) configuration was not saved.

Seems impossible to get out of this loop unless I manage to feed him the shadow dict or a scenario manually. Is this maybe because of the universal binary? (I'm on Arch Linux) I realized I had to run the installer in the root (/) directory so it copies the files to the correct locations. Only other weired thing I noticed is that it copies the kde4 system settings into the 'Lost and Found Folder' but I'm not sure whether that is related.

Overall - maybe I should be building from source, will this give build better adapted to my system? - or go straight .svn. On arch the AUR (user repo) version of simon has not been updated yet (0.2.3) so a svn package would make sense. If I can manage to create my first package :-)

.
