| Arrows are confusing

I think the black arrows are very confusing. In the 2nd screenshot, the apps arrow is pointing upwards, even though all applications are listed _below_ it. For me this is not intuitive at all.
What I suggest is giving the 'Home', 'Apps', 'Favs', etc. category arrows a completely different look. For example, use two V or ^ shaped lines on top of each other for these.
Then, closed categories should have a double ^ while an open category will get (the only) double V with all it's contents below. |

By having 'KDELIBS= ${KDEDIR}/lib' in your Makefile, I got "incompatible library" errors when compiling on my 64 bit system.
I had to change the Makefile by hand to 'KDELIBS= ${KDEDIR}/lib64' for it to work. Please take 64bit systems into account for the next release. |

I think it's a good start, but the colors are way to strong in terms of saturation for my taste. |

Ok, more feedback (of course, these are only opinions):
The arrow colors (hue) don't match that of the rest of the icons. You should try to find better matches.
And the blue of the folders is a bit too intensive (saturation). |
