Thanks, your fix works nicely with xfwm. :)

Sort of a catch-all workaround, I guess; added

.menu {
border: 1px solid gray;
}

to ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

Looking around, I came across some issues related to borders and shadows for menus being left to the window manager... Interestingly enough, when compositing is enabled in xfwm4, it draws shadows for all menus /gtk2 and gtk3/, but still no borders in gtk3. Not really a pressing issue as xfce is still very much in gtk2-land (for the time being ...), but odd nevertheless ...

Hm. I just fired up the laptop as well to make sure. I can confirm the same issue on that. Both systems are running xubuntu 15.04 and xfce 4.12. I'll be able to test things out on an installation with xfce 4.10 in a cpl of hours ... Any info I could provide?

gtk3 menu borders
Sep 22 2015  on content GrayAndBlue

I could be missing something ...but are gtk3 menus border-less by design?

Here's what I get for gtk3: http://i.imgur.com/l88GErm.png

Whereas gtk2 looks OK: http://i.imgur.com/qAU75uF.png

thanks!

I've also tweaked the sliders by removing the overlay image entries. That's my default theme across all machines now.

very nice and clean

Love it! I adore grey themes. I used a modified dark mist theme for the longest time but started browsing around since I could never for the love of me port it to gtk3 properly. Is there any chance you might consider tweaking yours for completely straight-edged buttons?

font color

Love your work! Any possibility you might consider a version with a slightly softer contrast in system fonts e.g. the over-all white in Thunar and throughout Xfce would be a bit softer if they were light-grey ish instead of white. I'm definitely going to be using your theme on several boxes in any case :)

I'll definitely stay tuned ! :)...In the meantime I've managed to convert two win users to Fedora using your theme! ;)

I absolutely love the clean buttons ! ..I seem to have an issue with text input color in seamonkey tho, it's that same very pale green ...Also, planning on making more of these ? The same theme with blue/grey highlights would sort me out for a decade or so !
