Description:

### GrayAndBlue README.md ###

GrayAndBlue is a Gnome 2 and 3 theme with some colors and widgets inspired by the NextStep look.

This is basically a Numix modified theme (thanks to the Numix team for releasing their theme with an open source licence).

The Gtk2 part requires the murrine theme engine. Please check that it is installed on your system.

It has been tested on Arch Linux with Gnome-Shell, a good amount of Gtk2 applications and only a few Gtk3 applications. It is not tested at all with unity or xfce.

This is a GPL 3 free software. Feel free to change and share the code.

This is the version 0.7, released in October 2015.

### ChangeLog ###

version 0.7: November 2015:
- fix a padding problem in gedit open document popover (thanks to bd209ocp).

version 0.6: October 2015:
- fix menu borders with xfce/xfwm (thanks to neo-cool)

version 0.5: September 2015:
- improve scrollbars design;
- change colors for the tab headers of notebook widgets
- fix paned separator bug
- add 1px of checkbox padding
- fix scale colors bug
- change default padding of window bar
- improve colors of the check and radio boxes
- reduce padding of the toolbar

version 0.4: August 2015: initial public version.

 very nice and clean

Love it! I adore grey themes. I used a modified dark mist theme for the longest time but started browsing around since I could never for the love of me port it to gtk3 properly. Is there any chance you might consider tweaking yours for completely straight-edged buttons?

Set all roundness and radius properties in the code to zero ?

I've also tweaked the sliders by removing the overlay image entries. That's my default theme across all machines now.

 gtk3 menu borders

I could be missing something ...but are gtk3 menus border-less by design?

Here's what I get for gtk3: http://i.imgur.com/l88GErm.png

Whereas gtk2 looks OK: http://i.imgur.com/qAU75uF.png

That's strange... On my system borders (and shadows) are here.

Hm. I just fired up the laptop as well to make sure. I can confirm the same issue on that. Both systems are running xubuntu 15.04 and xfce 4.12. I'll be able to test things out on an installation with xfce 4.10 in a cpl of hours ... Any info I could provide?

Looking around, I came across some issues related to borders and shadows for menus being left to the window manager... Interestingly enough, when compositing is enabled in xfwm4, it draws shadows for all menus /gtk2 and gtk3/, but still no borders in gtk3. Not really a pressing issue as xfce is still very much in gtk2-land (for the time being ...), but odd nevertheless ...

Sort of a catch-all workaround, I guess; added

.menu {
border: 1px solid gray;
}

to ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

Or search for ".menu {" in the gtk-3.0/gtk-widgets.css and change the border-style to:

/* border-style: none; */
border-width: 1px;
border-style: solid;
border-color: shade(@theme_bg_color, 0.8);

If it works, I will add it in the next release. Clearly xfwm does not use the mutter configuration for windows shadows. I said it in the Readme: this theme is not tested at all with xfce/xfwm.

Thanks, your fix works nicely with xfwm. :)
