true indeed . . . . long time windows users are used to their buttons on the right side _ox . . . while native mac users are used to them on the left side . . . before I switched to Ubuntu my windows vista machine appeared to be running windows 95 . . . . lol . . . I HATED XP & VISTA new and improved themes and always set them ALL back to the 90's default . . . . windows borders start button and menu all back to the basics . . . . Using a Mac also takes getting used to . . . . if you use your computer for work full time change takes some getting used to . . . . but that is the great thing about linux you can customize it just how you like!
plus I think its a little bit of "ANYTHING YOU CAN DO I CAN DO BETTER"

Gnomenu does not come stock on most Linux Distros including ubuntu -

After installing Genomenu from launchpad . . ..
To install this theme Add gnomenu to your panel
Download this file to your desktop
Right click on your gnome menu and goto preferences
Install as a button

thanks - I was searching for this for so long and just figured I would make it . . . . it works for people who need a button that fits in the taskbar without the overlay require emerald or compiz ect. . . hope it is usefully to people |
