Description:

A first attempt at making a wallpaper. Edit or use the idea if you want, no credit wanted or required. Quality is not the best so if you would like create a new one do so.

Also "the windows 7 is a lie" sounds a little odd so I may update it later to "windows 7 is a lie" if someone asks.

Edited a Windows logo
Inspired by Portal and a wallpaper based off Portal.

Hey, it may not be very good, but it's his first submission. You only submitted some photo of a crocodile. My first submission was just an Ubuntu logo over a galaxy.

Linux: because a PC is a terrible thing to waste.

YES, its first post so its GREAT! Oh my god.. I dont use windows, but there are many of this "agains win" posts, everybody who makes something like "windows is badass" etc is just cool for the community. Its just my opinion and yes, it is a piece of s*it.

You are right, i was to mean and i am sorry for that. I just dont like the idea with windows, i use ubuntu but have nothing against windows. Just dont like when on linux servers lot of people says that windows sucks, windows is a lie etc.. Its not so bad, but i just dont like the idea :)

Yes, it should indeed be "Windows is a lie", not "the Windows is a lie".

My mom is a now-retired high school English teacher, and when I was growing up in the rural Missouri Ozarks, I had friends in grade school who regularly used double negatives and "ain't" and such, and she corrected my grammar at home quite a bit, so I should know. LOL

It is a pretty good idea, but you should not just have a black background, maybe a gradient in back. Maybe make the text blurred and glossier. And, of course, it should be "Windows 7 is a lie!" not "the windows 7 is a lie". For some great tutorials for gimp go to http://gimp-tutorials.net/ or http://gtuts.com/ but Gimp-tutorials.net has more and better ones.

Thank you for the constructive criticism. So far I am working on a high res windows logo. I will look into some of the things you suggested. Also I made it into "windows 7 is a lie" (as of time writing not it's not uploaded).

I think the funniest part of this is the fake Comic Sans font(Comic Sans was developed for Microsoft). Maybe have Clippy saying that in a speech bubble.
