i think it's one of them dock applet thingies. i don't use it so i actually don't know. the closest thing i could find was this:

what was your point? as far as the first point, no where did the first reply say that you're a nut for liking this. as a matter of fact, he says while he doesn't like windows or mac os windec clones, he says if you do go for it.
as far as your second point, the first replier is pretty much right. how does a windec confuse a window user on how to use linux or some other operating system? it's quite silly. on just about every windec you can customize it to have 3 buttons just like windows (or mac or whatever). those 3 buttons do the same thing - minimize, maximize and close the window. you can set them to the left if you like the mac style or set them to the right just like in windows.
anyway, it's not a bad effort and it looks pretty clean in the screenshots. not much else i can say about it. it's not my cup of tea, but it does look like a well done and clean windec. |

kudos to the person who did the kde 3.1.X back port. compiles and works fine in redhat. a really, really nice application. |

a dern cool window decoration. very original and one the best i've seen in a long, long time. Neon isn't too shabby an effort either. ;) |

if you use kde's screensavers, you can setup Xscreensavers by running xscreensaver-demo. just don't start the xscreensaver daemon. and vice-versa, if you're using xscreensaver, you can add kde screensavers to the xscreensaver list and set them up in the kde control center. i like using xscreensaver cause it think it just works better. i've got an issue with kde and locking the screen if i'm watching a movie or video in xine and just quit xine while the movie's playing, kde will refuse to lock the screen. xscreensaver still works in this situation. the only issue i have with xscreensaver is the cycle screensaver when using just one screensaver. it's supposed to cycle only if using multiple screensavers, but it's still cycles if using only one screensaver.
btw, to add a kde screensaver to xscreensaver, just add "kde_screensaver_name.kss --root" to your ~/.xscreensaver file. if you need to find the name *.kss screensaver, just do a find *.kss or something like that. |
