Re: Re: Re: How can i install your theme?
Nov 26 2011  on content Adwaita-borderless

the directory tree should be something like this:

/home/$USER/.themes/adwaita-borderless/{gtk2, gtk3, metacity}

maybe this will help:

Re: How can i install your theme?

Hi.

To install it, simply extract it in ~/.themes

Then you may use gnome-tweak-tool to set the theme, or set it through dconf-editor.

The icon theme is more a matter of taste. I'm using the gnome official theme but I've changed the folder icons to the ones used in gnome-color (brave).
I guess the elementary icon theme would fit well too, for example.

Cheers.

Thank you for your tips!

I've tried what you said and yes, it worked, but I couldn't obtain an enough good result. Instead, I've tried successfully to tweak the original Adwaita theme. Now the theme looks better, IMHO

Hi.

Gnome 3.2 introduced an invisible area for grabbing window borders without actually having to rely on the window border width, so yes: It's easy to grab a window border.

About the button height, actually I'm not very interested in changing it, but I'll give it a try.

weird bug...
May 28 2011  on content Adwaita Elements

Yeah, sorry, I should have provided more into. That happened me in nautilus 3.0.2

It turns out that the bug not always happens, and is NOT related to your theme.
Just oin case someone can reproduce and confirm:
Lets have a non-maximized window with some files and folders on it. I you shrink the window horizontally, at some point the files are going to be rearanged usin one column less than before (icon view), but there will be still a lot of space at the right side of the icon view. OK, so at this moment is where I can't rename any file or folder.

(I'll report it upstream)

renaming files
May 28 2011  on content Adwaita Elements

I'm not able to rename any file while using this gtk3 theme... apart from that, I'm loving the theme.

Nice, but...
Oct 16 2010  on content Compact-Menu

Nice idea, but for some people would be desirable to have window titles (no matter where, maybe at the same level than the menu)

But the worst is that your resize handles are wasting all the space you gain by putting the menu above the window controls, so no advantage, and more confusion.

(of course with no resize handles or smaller ones, your solution becomes very interesting)
