A feature I miss with krename or any other renaming tool is a way to massively edit file embedded metadata for formats that support it (mp3, jpeg ...).
It would be really cool to be able to change not to only the title but also exif metadata. Will it be able to ?
Note Reading exif metadata like the shot time would also let the user sort pictures from several cameras (with different naming scheme) in the right chronologic order before renaming them all.=> very usefull when collecting all the pictures after a mariage ;) |

I have been using archlinux for 4 years now. It is intended to be lightweight and simple distro for advanced users that want to be always on the bleeding edge for new packages (and new bugs).
This distro has increasingly become more and more popular and I now ear about it in quite many places on the internet (even kde.org).
I am surprised not to see it here. |

I agree, the interface is lovely simple. Reverse encoding... why not.
My question is: how does it work? Does it only find and extract the avi sequence embedded inside the flv file or does it do a re-encoding? (In the second case there would be a loss of quality) |
