I think for certain people it's a way to proof that *nix can be just as 'good' (and you may interpret that any way you want) as Windows, even if they were already convinced of that themselfes. And in the case of the Windows MCE theme, I do kind of like the way it looks (although in this port I don't like the tiny buttons, make them bigger!).
That said, I hate the way Vista looks and I can't believe how many people are trying to port all of it to GTK/Metacity :)

I find that the blue icons suit my current theme pretty well, but I can imagine they don't go well for most themes out there. Thanks for the grey icons, I might still need them someday when I change my theme. |

I'm not so sure what to think of the Trash icon either. It is true that having *everything* in the blue color makes the icon theme rather dull, but I'm not really fond of this green thing sticking out either. Perhaps if there were more green desktop icons it could bring things into balance though. |
