Description:

The Psalms tell us that "The heavens declare the glory of God..." and I think that Wehrner Von Braun's observation is an allusion to this truth.

For others as myself, who believe in Christ, as well as creationists.

Done in the Gimp.

You need prove? Well, how about this: Germans don't believe in god, they never did. Since von Braun was German, he didn't believe either.

what a way to paint a whole people with a mindless blanket statement.

Not only Christianity and churches are alive and thriving in Germany, but also grass-roots Christian groups.

I lived in Franken (Ansbach) for 11 years; one such group had a fellowship cafe, and handed out newsletters called "Salz und Kerze" ("Salt and Candle") in the marketplaces. Always a warm and open invitation to visit them.
They did kitchens and services for the poor, and shared the Gospel.

What Germany/Germans are you referring to?

Here's a source and the greater context...

"Atheists all over the world have... called upon science as their crown witness against the existence of God. But as they try, with arrogant abuse of scientific reasoning, to render proof there is no God, the simple and enlightening truth is that their arguments boomerang. For one of the most fundamental laws of natural science is that nothing in the physical world ever happens without a cause. There simply cannot be a creation without some kind of Spiritual Creator.

I find it as difficult to understand a scientist who does not acknowledge the presence of a superior rationality behind the existence of the universe as it is to comprehend a theologian who would deny the advances of science."

T. McIver, 1986,
From "Ancient Tales and Space-Age Myths of Creationist Evangelism", The Skeptical Inquirer vol 10:258-276.

Verify my source...if you're willing.

Tim

Quote from your website:
God doesn't want you to go to Hell. Please, forget your arguments, repent and put your trust in Jesus and be saved from God's wrath. Make Psalm 51 your prayer, then read your Bible daily and always obey what you read; God will never let you down. Thank you for taking the time to read this booklet.

if a person really loves you she/he will never send you to hell (or even create a hell).
if god really loves all his children (i can only guess that, because the bible said he/she actually is love) we will all meet again in heaven. is it wrong to believe in god this way? this is uncoditional love to me... and it's so wonderful that i can't imagine that god wants me to read the bible everyday if i don't want to...

sorry for my bad english.

God did not create hell for mankind but for Satan and his followers. You're either God's or the other.

make your choice. it should be easy.

Hmmmm...that's a very black and white view of the world that is not very realistic since the world is made up from shades of grey. I for example am not religious, but that doesn't mean I am against religion. Disagreeing with ideas is not the same as opposing them. So i disagree but am not against. Where does that leave me according to "Whoever is not against us is for us"?

Hi Flanders,
Then you are for us 'coz you are not against us. There will always be different views but it will be clearer in time.

"You're either with us, or you're with the terrorists."

Anybody else notice how this fundie drivel has been inundating USA consciousness since 9-11?

I mean, it's like those jets crashing into the WTC turned a key in a door, and instead of the Ghost of Foreign Policy Awareness coming through it, it turned out to be all these little gremlins that Pat Robertson had kept locked up beneath the 700 Club soundstage. And they're hungry and angry.

God loves you and does not want you to do go hell. But if you reject him then that's a choice that you have made. It's like a father telling his child to come inside out of the rain, but the child says "but if you loved me you wouldn't let the rain fall on me." The father reaches out for the child to bring him inside, but the child runs away.

The whole purpose of the New Testament is not to preach condemnation and punishment, but to open a door out of the corruption of the world.

There are umteen hundres religions, sects, cults or what ever you wish to call them, but only three types of people. People who enunciate bullshit
People that market bullshit
People who buy bullshit
Where do you stand in this so called rational superior situation.
By the way what makes you so much smarter then these other religions.Did god lay his hand on you and appoint your perticular beleif the only correct one? And if he did, did atleast one more person wittness it. I guess what im saying is can you prove it.Not just that you had a feeling of overwhelming
spiritual awakening.

for the sake of debate "rational superiority" is left undefined and leaves the field wide open as to what the nature of that rational superiority is. it's all a great big beautiful mystery and will always be. ???????
