Description:

A plea from the Savior, who's birth we celebrate this month at Christmas.

Done in the Gimp, for "Whosoever..."

If you haven't yet done so, and have the time, why not send KDE-LOOK an email and thank them for allowing a diverse array of work? Thanks!

Replaced second graphic.

Whether you're is religious or despises religion, you can't deny that these 2 wallpapers are well done. Great work - nice and simplistic.

Please, don't vote this guy's submission down just because you don't like the message. These are actually good wallpapers.

Looks ok, not my thing, the whole god stuff...

But I'm pretty sure I've seen that image somewhere. Maybe a cartoon about Jesus. Was it public domained? If it was, could you let us know where you got it. Could be usefull.

 Why < 50%?

I can't see anything wrong with it. Why does it have such a low score???

Maybe because it is just a gradient with some clipart figure (Obi Wan Kenobi?)pasted in the centre? Anyone can knock up a wallpaper like this in just a couple of minutes, and that is if they are slow workers. No artistic skills required.

If you look at the artists work, ALL of his posts are rated below 50%. Oh, I wonder what else they have in common? That's right he's trying to push his beliefs, the art is secondary to that.

Yep most of them seem to hover around the 30% threshold, but I have a sneaky suspicion that will change. Some of these wallpapers have been on the site for weeks if not months and for some strange reason their rating seems to have started improving. Tim's wallpapers seem to have have been rediscovered. Or maybe it's a case of divine intervention? And then there are the trivial "updates" when ratings on wallpapers fall. I guess Tim doesn't like his message getting obscured by some silly voting system.

Hi.

The low scores are typical of what Christian wallpapers get here. There are two other people who have posted them..."Alethia" and "Groundhog3000". Both have typically had the same happen to them...and some have now disappeared after staying in the 30's. Whether they were zerod out or the poster removed them, I don't know.

The only exception I've seen so far is one that simply has "faith", "hope", "love" on it. It's doing pretty well, but then the message isn't very pointed.

The common point in all of the Christian papers is the message. I've posted things here with no message, then added one, only to see the score go down afterwords. No other changes...and I added the text for that purpose.

The Christian community here at KDE-LOOK is a minority, but there is one here. And that is who I target. As a matter of fact, I have generally made a point to stipulate that my wallpapers are for other believers. You wouldn't think that by some of the responses you read. I never expect the score to be high because, as I mentioned, we are the minority. I basically judge by the number of downloads. That is the TRUE "yes" vote...in fact, I'd argue that it should register as a vote...some download and don't vote at all. The voting system is overrated.

Thanks for the question. It's relevant.

Tim

I think it's nice. Maybe you could put the KDE logo above his head. I think he uses KDE anyway right? Couldn't possibly be a gnome user. Will you add the logo? Maybe you could do one with logo in the arms on a light blue background.

Cheers
