Changelog:

----------------------------------------
4.1.0

- modified shutdowndialog
- fixed bug in analog_meter (thanks to youngmug)
- converted/compressed all files from svg to svgz

----------------------------------------
v4.0.0

- added lineedit
- modified viewitem
- modified frame and dragger
- changed busywidget (uses the default one but in white)

----------------------------------------
v3.1.0

- modified lancelot-theme (modified and updated most parts and color theme)
- modified scrollbar
- removed overlay from background and translucentbackground (theme looks better without it, i think)

------------------
v3.0.1

- modified frame- and dragger-margins (fixed cutted fonts in tabbar)

----------------------------------------
v3.0.0

- added toolbox, line, slider
- added busywidget (for now using the oxygen one)
- added overlay to background and translucentbackground
- modified systemtray and fifteenPuzzle
- many small changes at nearly all parts of the theme to fit better into plasma's specs

------------------
v2.4.2.1

- fixed bar-meter-horizontal and bar-meter-vertical (fixed size-bug)

-------------------------------
v2.4.2

- modified viewitem, dragger, extender-dragger and frame (keep consistent to the previous theme-modifications)
- modified shutdowndialog (added shadow to the background and fix button-sizes)
- removed all opaque svg's, except the shutdowndialog (Maybe i will re-add a new opaque-theme in the near future, which will look quite better than the old one. Also i hope that the kde-team will find a way to keep translucency when composition is turned off)

-------------------------------
v2.4.1

- modified background, dialog-background, tooltip, krunner, lancelot-background and panel (more decent shadow and smaller borders to reach more space-saving)

----------------------------------------
v2.4.0

- modified panel-background (a little bit polished and better support for thin panels)

Stunning beautiful! If the transparent elements would blur the background, it would be absolutely brilliant!

I love this theme very much, and I've been using it since its inception. The latest changes enhanced visibility quite well.

I've noticed an issue with drop shadows on all themes... this is a KDE bug that will be fixed in time for the final release, right?

Thanks in advance.

Here's a screenshot -- <http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=30naidi&s=5>. The lower border is a little bit strange, so I disable drop shadows. This is as rendered by the radeon driver.

Ok, now I'm calmed ;-)
This is a kwin-bug caused by your radeon-driver.
So this is not a plasma- or glassified-bug.

But thank you for your fast reacton :-)

I knew it could not be a glassified bug because it appears in all the other themes too, heh. But I didn't know it was due to the radeon driver. Thanks for the heads-up and for the great theme.

 KDE 4.2?

 by joth666 on: Jan 29 2009

Great theme, although I miss two things in the KDE4.2 version, or maybe I'm missing something.

1. The Activity bar looks horribly out-of-place. I use it in a panel at a top (right next to Bespin's Xbar, that is: always visible). I don't know if it uses its own elements in the theme (or is unthemable even) but it looks like this:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3528/3235634162_171ebe795f_b.jpg

2. Lancelot uses the default Oxygen-look, so I assume your theme does not take Lancelot into consideration?

Apart from those two "complains", a great theme!

Thank you for your comment!

1.) The activity-bar-applet seems to use a minimal-height, which is larger than the height of your top panel (when you enlarge your top panel you can see that activity-bar will fit in). That's unfortunately something i can't change by theming.
Maybe you can contact the creator of the activity-bar-applet and ask him for change.

2.) Yes, that's my fault, because i haven't done a lancelot-theme yet.
Give me some time for that, please.

Thanks for the new version with Lancelot (for some reason I had to clean out the cache for it to work though...but after that it looks great)!

And as far as the activity bar goes, yes. I realize that a theme can not change that it fails to fit in its container but that's not what I meant by it sticking out either.

It's the fact that it looks like a big grey blob that is "bothering" me. Truth be told, it may look like that in other themes that are transparant/semi-transparant as well. All I know is that it didn't stick out as much using my previous theme (CleanBlend) and that every other plasmoid (of those I'm using anyway) are transparant/semi-transparant using your theme but not the activity bar.

Nice to hear that you like the lancelot-theme.
It's just the initial release and will be tuned up with the next release.

Activity Bar: Sorry for misunderstanding you.
I'll look at it when i'm back home and clear out the problem.

Ok. I've looked at it and my activity bar looks like this:

So, i really cannot reproduce your scenario and am a little bit helpless.

Which kde-version and distro are you running?

Weird. Although yours look much better than mine! I'm running KDE 4.2.0 on OpenSUSE 11.1.

Hm, is it possible it's due to the color-scheme and/or widget-style (sounds a bit far-fetched to me)?

Does it also look like this when you put the activity bar somewhere on the desktop?

I'm afraid so, yes.

 why not new theme?

by morfeusz on: Jan 29 2009

Score 50%

I liked much more previous version.

I don't have any reservations to new, but I think You could bequeath (leave for community) old version and add new version as new theme, because as you have written it's rewritten and all textures are new.

I think that there are a lot of people that liked old version, and when they come here and see extremely different theme with old name they could say WTF?

I think it will be useful if it'll be another theme.

First of all, thank you for your comment!

I don't agree with you, that the newest glassified version is a new theme in comparision to older versions, because i just lifted it up for using it in KDE4.2 and a better visibility.
Ok, the background images aren't as blured as before, but that's not an extreme thing.

Btw. you are the first one who is telling me that he likes the old one more.
But I will come forward with a proposal:
I can upload the older version as a second choice and call it "Glassified (older version)".
Just tell me which older version you mean: 1.4.x or 2.0.x?

I guess. I will be the second person. The reason being, is that I really liked the lighting effect which enhanced the curvature on the panels. I also preferred the uniform task manager and system tray instead of the beveling.

Maybe you could do a spin off and call the current one "glassified" and the other one "glassified enlightened"

Hi and thank you for your comment!

Ok, you're the second one. ;-)
The enlightend task manager and systray was looking good, right, but with multiple rows f.e in task manger in KDE4.2 it looks just silly.
Another fact is that I never really wanted it so blurred, but I didn't know better and didn't got the time to make it different.

So, I've decided to make it available as a second choice on this site, call it "Glassified (old style)" and I will NOT upload it as a seperate Plasma-theme, because I've just enhanced the theme to make it better readable and looking.

Instead of this, thanks for your interest.

OK. Thank you very much for letting me know about the direction of development. Regarding you're comment about the task manager looking silly... I dunno I still like it with the lighting effect. It doesn't really look blurred to me. I looks more like a light is on indicating that this is app currently active. Like I said... I like this effect. However, you are the developer. Its your baby of course.

Thanks for your comprehension.
Like you can see now, I've uploaded the old version as another download option.

I hope you are a little bit more satisfied now and I really thank you for the interest in my theme.
