Changelog:

----------------------------------------
4.1.0

- modified shutdowndialog
- fixed bug in analog_meter (thanks to youngmug)
- converted/compressed all files from svg to svgz

----------------------------------------
v4.0.0

- added lineedit
- modified viewitem
- modified frame and dragger
- changed busywidget (uses the default one but in white)

----------------------------------------
v3.1.0

- modified lancelot-theme (modified and updated most parts and color theme)
- modified scrollbar
- removed overlay from background and translucentbackground (theme looks better without it, i think)

------------------
v3.0.1

- modified frame- and dragger-margins (fixed cutted fonts in tabbar)

----------------------------------------
v3.0.0

- added toolbox, line, slider
- added busywidget (for now using the oxygen one)
- added overlay to background and translucentbackground
- modified systemtray and fifteenPuzzle
- many small changes at nearly all parts of the theme to fit better into plasma's specs

------------------
v2.4.2.1

- fixed bar-meter-horizontal and bar-meter-vertical (fixed size-bug)

-------------------------------
v2.4.2

- modified viewitem, dragger, extender-dragger and frame (keep consistent to the previous theme-modifications)
- modified shutdowndialog (added shadow to the background and fix button-sizes)
- removed all opaque svg's, except the shutdowndialog (Maybe i will re-add a new opaque-theme in the near future, which will look quite better than the old one. Also i hope that the kde-team will find a way to keep translucency when composition is turned off)

-------------------------------
v2.4.1

- modified background, dialog-background, tooltip, krunner, lancelot-background and panel (more decent shadow and smaller borders to reach more space-saving)

----------------------------------------
v2.4.0

- modified panel-background (a little bit polished and better support for thin panels)

Very good theme. I like, that you follow advancement of my theme :D But does the shutdown dialog work in your theme? In Marysia it looks like this: http://strony.aster.pl/mariusz/marysia_shutdown_2.png But in svg file it looks so much better :(

Sorry for my bad english

Hello,

which KDE4 version do you use?

Maybe it's a problem with 4.0. I use 4.1 from svn.

At the moment i can't proof this problem, but the previous shutdowndialog with nearly the same components looked like in the svg-file.

Is there anybody else who has this problem?

Ok, just like me.

Try my newest upload. Maybe it works now.
If not i will make the symbol as an embedded image.

Once again: Has anybody else the same problem?

I've looked at your shutdowndialog.svg file and saw that you choose an imagefile with the symbol as a transparent hole.
The resolution of this image seems to be the problem. Use an higher resoluted image and scaled down inside your vector-programm. This could help.

I did it with the original oxygen svg and deleted the red background stuff. My shutdowndialog doesn't have an image file.

P.S. I really haven't seen that your shutdowndialog looks nearly the same like mine, i swear!

Thank you and nice to hear that you like my theme!

Because the plasma theme contest is over, this one unfortunately couldn't be the default one. But maybe for an other release.

You said you are using it since i uploaded it. Can you (or anybody else) give me some feedback about some lacks in design or other suggestions?
The fact that my kde4 desktop is still a bit broken doesn't make it easier for me to proof it smoothly.

My advice: change color of buttons on the shutdowndialog from black to white :)

That is quite a good idea!

I've changed it now to a glassy white.
Maybe i will have to change the textcolor if it's hard readable.

 size of Plasma

I have a stupid question....

From your preview, I can see that your Plasma is not horizontally fit to the screen. There are space in both end of the Plasma.

I have tried to apply your Plasma theme, but my Plasma were still fit to the screen.

How could I change my Plasma like yours?

Hello,

if you use kde4.0 i think it's not possible to change the width of the panel.
I use kde4.1 from svn(unstable) were you have the panel controller (by clicking on the small plasma icon on the right of the panel).

I hope this answer will satisfy you ;-)

Thanks for that great work! Design might not be the most important thing creating a desktop environment, but you can create intrest by many visitors.
"WOW, what's this! Is this Visa or the new MacOS?"
"No. That's linux."
"I didn't know linux can do that."
And that's the first step to get a live version and test it...

Keep going! Great work!

 One Question

by Charmed on: May 23 2008

Hallo :)

----------------------------------------
And now for non-german-speakers:

Hello Mark,

1.) I'm using openSUSE and have added the KDE4 unstable repository to my package manager. I really don't know if this is also possible with Kubuntu.

2.) I had to change the shutdowndialog into black, because the transparent one was, insteed of the white border, not rendered correctly. Seems to be a compositing bug.
Does it work for you? If yes then i know that my kde4 is more buggier than i thought and i will upload the transparent one again.

Oh and thank you for the flowers. Nice to hear that other people like this theme like i do.

Try in English xD :

On Kde 4.0.4 it work very well. I think you shouldn't think that kde 4.1 svn ist stable. Its still an alpha ^^.

--------------------------------------

Good too hear that it worked. I will upload the transparent shutdowndialog again and leave the black one as 'shutdowndialog2.svg' inside the 'dialog' folder.

I know that kde4.1 is still alpha and definitely buggy, but this theme needs to be done on this version, because the change to qt4.4 brings some differences and optimizations to kde4.1.
So i will still painfully use 4.1 and wait until the final is released in july.
