U need to have Beryl installed mate! either u can get tarballs from beryl-project.org, or u can install the same from third party repositories depending on ur linux distribution. Once the emerald theme manager is installed all u have to do is import this theme and then choose it and u shud be done!
hope that helps! if u need more info, please let us know more details, like ur linux distribution etc.

yes i have the beryl manager installed.
i have imported the .emerald theme from my desktop and how do i use it now?

right click on "beryl manager" icon, choose "emerald theme manager", click on theme's title. If it does not change the theme, right click again on "beryl manager" icon, choose, "reload window decorator"
