In konsole right-click and choose "Settings/Schema" and then choose a transparent one. You can define your own transparent schemas also. Don't forget to do a "Save Settings" after.

 file corrupt

The download link returns a tar.tar file(?!) which appears to be corrupt. Tar doesn't understand it, and gzip errors out too.

My advice, don't bother until it's updated...

It's a .tar.bz2 file and I think your web browser is uncompressing the file and loading it into the browser. Try right-clicking on the download link and do a "Save Link As..." if you're using Konqueror, or try using wget. It might be a problem with the mimetype on kde-look.org or your web browser. I couldn't upload a .tar.gz because it was too big and kde-look.org has a 750KB limit for the uploads.

I haven't tested it on SuSE, but just a quick guess, I think SuSE installs KDE under /opt, so try running ./configure --prefix=/opt, then run make clean, make and make install again. It probably gets installed under /usr/local by default. Hope it helps.

Yeah, you're right. I did it manually, though. I installed under the default directory and then I moved all the files over to /opt/kde3/ and it works.

You probably don't have the libart_lgpl and libart_lgpl-devel packages installed, they should be on your RH9 cds. You should also run ./configure --prefix=/usr to get the windec installed in the proper directory. Good luck!

I really like thin win decoration, but I won't ever get used to the close button on the left side....
How can I change buttons position?
Thank you

daigo

OK I got it, here's what to do:
edit file Acqua.cpp
in function Acqua::_createButtons()
change "XIA|H" with "H|IAX" line 859
change "XIA|M" with "M|IAX" line 860
change "XIA" with "IAX" line 861
change *buttonList = &leftButtonList_ with *buttonList = &rightButtonList_ line 862
change buttonList = &rightButtonList_ with buttonList = &leftButtonList_ line 890

that's all

there's something more to change in the configuration dialog but is a simple chenge between left and right in the widget labels.

hope someone will enjoy this.

open the teminal and cd to the directory of the file you want to install then type or what ever (don't type the "" ) then if you get an error

you raise your computer over head and smash it on the ground screeming "I DON'T WANT TO BE A GEEK" then resume dailly life.

:p j/k if youget an error you come someplace mabey here and discuss your problem as though we are doctors and your computer is a sick guy (aka give as much info as posible)
