Description:

A Mac OSX like window decoration by modifying the 'Web' decoration.
Make your desktop more acqua like when use with the 'Acqua'style.

install:
configure --prefix=your_kde_install_path
make
make install

== IMPORTANT UPDATE ==
Mr. James Liu has asked me (M. J. Soto) to upload this short update, explaining what I did to compile this decor under KDE 3.0 (see shot 2).

Please, note that I'm not a programmer. I don't know C++. What I did is just a couple of trial and (mostly) error edits.

So: 1) get the tarball. 2) ./configure as usual. 3) edit acqua/Acqua.cpp and 3a) add #include <qvariant> as FIRST include, just before unistd.h, at line 21. 3b) delete line 30, which contains #undef Bool. 4) delete all moc files. 5) generate new moc files. 6) make 7) edit acqua/Makefile and change the one instance of kde2 to kde3. (this is the place to save the compiled libs). 8) make install. 9) run libtool --finish as per instructions.

10) Enjoy it!

NOTE:
Please note that this trick is also valid for kwinacqua_ace. I compiled both, thought the ace version with transparency was real slow.

DISCLAIMER: standard disclaimer. If your computer bombs it's not my fault, nor that of Mr. Liu.

Hi there!

I managed (imitating james liu's code) to make rounded bottom corners for this win deco. (see shot 3).

If someone would like to host this mod, I could make it available.

m.j.

PS: no developers round? Nobody compiled this for kde 3.0.4? will someone convert it to kde 3.1 when it arrives?

 Got it on RH8

Just look above and follow the install instructions. It's a little bit more than ./configure, make, and make install.

Rememeber we're ./configure --prefix=/usr . I had to make each new .moc file individually since I could't find makemoc.sh.

Good Luck

3a) add
4) delete all moc-files
5) generate new mocfiles(!!!)

and it doesn't work either. Sorry I'm to un-31337 to use this package. Hey, but no problem pal, compile a new kernel, apply a framebuffer patch for a new bootup logo (you surly know which file) and switch your computer off.

This item is *useless*.

But the screenshot is beautifuly anyway. But I wonder why he made a picture. Wouldn't the sourcecode be enough ? I mean, there's no problem in imaging a visual from a .cpp file.

after much trial and error I was FINALLY able to get this beautiful decor to work. You really should add an updated tar. Thanks for the decor!
