Description:

A Mac OSX like window decoration by modifying the 'Web' decoration.
Make your desktop more acqua like when use with the 'Acqua'style.

install:
configure --prefix=your_kde_install_path
make
make install

== IMPORTANT UPDATE ==
Mr. James Liu has asked me (M. J. Soto) to upload this short update, explaining what I did to compile this decor under KDE 3.0 (see shot 2).

Please, note that I'm not a programmer. I don't know C++. What I did is just a couple of trial and (mostly) error edits.

So: 1) get the tarball. 2) ./configure as usual. 3) edit acqua/Acqua.cpp and 3a) add #include <qvariant> as FIRST include, just before unistd.h, at line 21. 3b) delete line 30, which contains #undef Bool. 4) delete all moc files. 5) generate new moc files. 6) make 7) edit acqua/Makefile and change the one instance of kde2 to kde3. (this is the place to save the compiled libs). 8) make install. 9) run libtool --finish as per instructions.

10) Enjoy it!

NOTE:
Please note that this trick is also valid for kwinacqua_ace. I compiled both, thought the ace version with transparency was real slow.

DISCLAIMER: standard disclaimer. If your computer bombs it's not my fault, nor that of Mr. Liu.

 Did not work...

Sorry pal! I was quite enthused but it did not work. Or maybe I'm missing something here? How do you install it? I did the following after gzip-untarring:
./configure
make
make install

The name showed up in the 'Window Decoration' option of Preferences but did not change the decoration as mentioned.

It changes from (whathever theme) to the kde2 default.
Seems like dosen't work at all.
Using redhat 7.1+ (almost 7.2) and kde 2.2.2

 Typing error

In the file $(KDE2DIR)/share/apps/kwin/acqua.desktop
there is a typing error:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Acqua
X-KDE-Library=libkwinaqua

It should say:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Acqua
X-KDE-Library=libkwinacqua

Cheers!

Thanks, that fixed the problem.
But this window skins is terribly SLOW.
So I can't use it for now.
If this is fixed and we are able to use aplication icon on the window decoration, this theme will rock.

Looks good... How do inactive windows look like? Is their title bar transparent?

It doesn't seem to work for me, either. Author, are there any special instructions in making this work with KDE 2.2? :) -dT-

Great job on this window decoration. Now if some bright coder could make Mosfets transparent menu option a system event, rather then ties to a style. . .I would no longer have OSX envy ;)

Rounded MacOS X decorations! You can see my screenshot at http://omega.sci.univr.it/aqualinux2.png, this is KDE 2.2.2, running on a Slackware 8.0, with both Mosfet Liquid and Kwinaqua (along with true type support for menus, iKons 0.5 and so on...). It runs quite smoothly on a K6-III/450 with a TNT2.
