i dont like that kopete is mixing all my friendlist in my accounts. i tought that it would be wonderful if there is tabs between accounts. what do you think?

I think Kopete puts the focus on persons, that is, you may have several accounts that give you several ways to reach a certain person.

Your contact list should be a list of persons and not contacts. That's why you can link a certain entry in the list with an address book entry, photo, etc, and you can merge contacts into a meta contact.

That's how like to use it so it suits me and I'm biased.

I agree, many of my friends have multiple IM accounts and remembering them all would be a pain, thats why I link everyone with a Address Book entry so I can see their picture and full name. I think it makes things more simplified since usually you just care about who you are contacting not the screenname.
