Description:

This is a new version of the glow window decoration which will hopefully appear in the KDE 3.2 release. The main new feature is the customization of the buttons (later also the rest of the title bar will be customizable). Read the theme-devel/README file to get an overview on how to create a new button theme.
To build and install the theme, use
'make -f Makefile.cvs; ./configure; make; su -c "make install" '. Note that this will overwrite the glow window decoration of your default kde installation.

Changelog:

- new theme 'square'
- small adjustments to themes 'default' and 'glass'

 "Full" maximization

 by invitro on: Jul 5 2003

Score 50%

This window decoration is _really_ nice, especially the square theme. Now there is only one thing that I miss: the ability to maximize the window enough so that the close-button is in the very corner of the screen, making it possible to just move the mouse upwards and to the right as much as possible and then click to kill a maximized app. This complies very good with Fitts' law, which says that a button on the edge of the screen has infinite width, and that a button on the top or bottom of the screen has infinite height.
If you don't understand what I mean check the images at this URL:
http://nyadoxa.no-ip.org/~invitro/glowsuggestion

Maybe this is a KDE-thing, but I haven't managed to find an option enabling this feature.

I hope this is possible to do,
Viktor

MY GOD SOMEONE WHO THINKS LIKE I DO ABOUT TITLEBAR BUTTONS!!!

sorry...

I just LOVE being able to throw my mouse in the general direction of the 'X' and click have things work how I want them to.

Hi there !

The configure-script works just fine and doesn´t complain. But when I try to do a 'make' it´s shooting me with errors:

Just in case, somebody else comes across that error:
It can be resolved by installing kdebase-devel :-)

 Qt

Let me first tell you that your window decoration looks GREAT, and that I WILL NOT REST until I have it installed.

That said, whenever I try to compile anything that requires Qt, I get the following error:

=========
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1 (20021021)) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
=========

However, I know for a fact that I have Qt 3.1.1 in /usr/lib/qt3 , with the *.so.3.1.1 files in /usr/lib/qt3/lib . What can I do to make configure find my Qt3 libraries? Can I edit something in the configure script?

If it isn't obvious, I haven't been using Linux for very long. Any help would be appreciated.

SuSE 8.2
KDE 3.1.1
Qt 3.1.1

You should have QTDIR set as an environment variable. Put it in /etc/profile or ~/.bash_profile
