Its a very simple thing but I've been waiting a long time to have a nice dropshadow behind the desktop icon font in Gnome for a long time!

I assume this is part of libfontconfig?

For ubuntu, execute the script below and it will generate and install a debian package. It has been tested in edgy and feisty.

The deb I posted includes everything the tarball installs: gtk theme, metacity and icons.

Strange, it is now working for me.
If you have a gmail account, contact me, my user is tigrux at gmail dot com.

Try to execute the script in a clean directory.
