Description:

A dark and simple gtk-theme.

big screenshot
http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs224&d=08055&f=2008-02-01864.png

note
As of version 1.0 this is not a murrine-theme anymore! I got tired of the murrine-look so I switched completely to pixmaps.
I hope you like the look of the new buttons, scrollbars etc! :)

new
I've included media-control-icons for gtk that matches the Neutronium DeepBlack Style.
To use them just copy the content of the 'icons' folder to the theme dir of your current icon-theme (~/.icons/*theme*).

Changelog:

v1.2
+ metacity theme
+ kde color scheme
+ mumbles theme
+ pidgin screenlet theme
+ small theme changes
+ fixes for known issues (README)

v1.1
+ brighter progress bar
+ new sliders
+ media-control-icons

v1.0
+ now uses the pixmap engine

Yeah, I noticed it on youtube (search box). Well, I'm not sure if this can be fixed in the theme.
I guess the searchboxes on some sites are using the interface bg and button color with a black foreground (text). While having a theme with a white bg thats no problem but this theme is designed to have a black bg and white fg. I'll try to fix this when I'm @ home.

Like I thought this problem occurs with other dark themes as well, it's a firefox issue.
I've included a Readme file in the theme with instructions how to fix this problem. Just redownload the theme, follow the steps descriped in the Readme and the web elements will show up correctly in firefox again! :)

 Open Office Bug?

 by rolando2424 on: Apr 18 2007

I think I've found a bug on your theme.

When I try to open OpenOffice, in which, if I'm using your theme, it doesn't open.

The applications that don't open are the Writer and the presentation creator.

The Spreadsheet and the Database creator work.

When I try to open the Writer through a terminal, it gives the following error:

Quote:
rolando@rolando-desktop:~$ openoffice

(soffice.bin:30503): Gtk-WARNING **: Incapaz de localizar motor de temas na module_path: "murrine",

The Portuguese is something like "Incapable of find the theme engine on module_path: "murrine",".

Nice theme by the way :D

Hm, looks like a problem with the murrine-engine. Have you tried updating it yet?

Black on black?

fg #4d4d4d
bg #121212

...and Pidgin(Gaim) uses this colors. Dunno why it's black on black for you, maybe you set up custom chat colors somehow.

.....can you post the Archlinux button? It looks great. Also, is that a system activity indicator applet that you have next to the Archlinux menu? Where did you get that? And I downloaded the terminal in your screenshot but can't find a way to customize it. How'd you get it to look like that?

I'm very impressed by this theme, and you have a great desktop too!

Thx, next to the menu (icon postet above) is just the taskbar. What you think could be a system activity indicator applet is just the default XTerm icon of xfce. ;)

You can customize Mrxvt (the terminal app) via a config file in your home dir (.mrxvtrc). Here's is my config for example: ftp://sen.homelinux.org/config/mrxvtrc
