Description:

Have fun.

width, offset width, decoration theme to choose between
the original Ridge and a vertical gradient and additional
color options for active and inactive windows outlines.

December 2003
Ridge v. 0.2.1
- fixes to run with QT 3.1.x
- fixes in geometry calculation

thanks for your input.
I am a little busy for some more weeks but will definatly update Ridge soon. Do some options, implement the contrast control, maybe improve usability, ...

While compiling config.cpp it says:
config.cpp:94: no matching function for call to `QButtonGroup::setChecked(bool&)' ... the list goes on. I'm trying to compile it on RedHat9.

I am not shure about your error. Are you using kde 3.2 beta?
Ridge 0.2 will not compile under kde 3.2. I will post a ported version shortly.

Actually - I'm getting the same error on Mandrake 9.1. And I'm using KDE 3.1.x. I've searched through the QT class headers, but can't find anything like the "isChecked" functions (I did find a "checked(int)"... but not certain if that's the same thing or not).

Yes, when developing this release i had the qt 3.2 libraries installed which enable these features. I also could not get that configuration option for required qt version at configuration time to work by now, so the update is only for the required versions in the changelog.
I will fix that release to work with standard qt 3.1 when i have uninstalled (;-) kde 3.2 beta.

I also get compile errors on my Gentoo box. Using KDE 3.1.4 and QT 3.2

it configures fine, but dies during make with:

Ridge.cpp: In method `void KWinInternal::Ridge::someGeometry()':
Ridge.cpp:424: `round' undeclared (first use this function)
Ridge.cpp:424: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
Ridge.cpp:424: for each function it appears in.)
make[3]: *** [Ridge.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/ridge-0.2/ridge'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/ridge-0.2/ridge'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/ridge-0.2'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Hope this helps. :)

Now it builds with no errors for me (yay!). But the titlebar buttons are blank.

Have you checked the colors? The icons in the buttons are drawn in inactive window title text color and change to active window title text color when the mouse hovers over them ("activates a button").

Yes, I tried several different color schemes. But the button boxes remain blank both before and during mouseover.

I can't rule out that I'm not doing something wrong, but I don't know what. It's a wonderful window decoration, that I'd love to be able to use. Are any other Gentoo users having this issue?
