Description:

This program reads gps data from a text file and correlates it with the photos in the same folder

------------------
Use Correlate data to correlate gps data with images. If an image does not have a gps entry, it is extrapolated

Use Hide/Show to hide/show all lines that do not correspond to an image

------------------
Depends on exiv2.

Changelog:

version 0.1 :
This first version is only able to read gps data given by gpspoint program. Futher versions will use gpsbabel. Has been tested with garmin gpsmap 60C output.
Also photo Exif time and Gps time must be the same within 30sec. Futher versions will allow to choose the difference.

This would be a sweet digikam plugin, any chance of going that direction?

Great Idea BTW. Thanks!

Thank you for your comment

Yes, I would like to make a digiKam plugin, I will try to make both versions.

If anyone knows how to write a plugin for digiKam, I would appreciate some feedback

Alex

hey, great to see a kde program coming up for gps-tagging. i installed it, got a weird problem though. i can't find how to load logfile and the menu seems broken. the second menu item is called "No text!".

any clues? didn't investigate yet ;-)

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback

The log file must be located in the same directory as the photos. It is automaticaly loaded. It must have the extension .gps

For the moment it is very rudimentary, should be updated soon, and a kipi plugin is developped.

As for the menu, it seems weird. Can you send me (by mail, found in the source code) a screenshot ? Thanks

Alex
