10/1 - Fixed download link, AGAIN, does anybody wants to serve this tarball? Also if anyone wants to include any Tux related wallpapers into tuXPerience, Please contact me at m4rccd@yahoo.com.. Ill reply ASAP.

This .tar.gz file (1.2mb) includes the original tuXPerience image plus a gray background one, a tux-snowboard picture and a beach sysadmin picture!

NOTE: this is a high-quality 1280x1024 wallpaper but it looks good scaled to 1024x768 or 800x600 or whatever. I'm looking forward into this wallpaper to be included in the next KDE release?, maybe.

I love those kind of things. How did you create it / where did you find it? It rocks!

Just a quick note, the wallpaper is 1600x1200, not 1024x768 but hey, it scales well.

BTW, does anyone know how to give this wallpaper a more blueish tint? That would match my color scheme much better.

well, you can adjust the colors in the gimp by right-clicking on the image, selecting "image" then color balance. move the bottom of the three sliders towards "blue" (the right)

this will affect the whole tint of the image though. it would look better if the redish colors in the background were replaced with blue, but the author would have to do that, so ask him : )

Hi,

You can actually blend the wallpaper from the advanced tab in the desktop wallpaper dialog (in KDE ofcourse). Ain't it amazin' ? :)

if you right-click the desktop, click on desktop properties, and click on the background tab, you can change the tint and effects on the background. You can adjust the hue, tint, gradient, etc in the bottom selection menu.
