Description:

Domino is a style with a soft look. It allows to fine adjust the shininess of the widgets by customizable color gradients.

Changelog:
0.4
* new option for indented / non indented menu items
* new option for highlighted tool button icons on mouse over
* the button look for tool(bar) buttons is now optional
* new rubberband options
* smaller tabWidget margins
* respects Gwenview's / Kicker's taskbar applet / Konversation's own mousewheel handling for scrollviews
* clipped popup menu edges, for a better look with KWin's shadows (Beryl seems not to support it).
* fixes pixmaps on PowerPC architecture
* fixes functionality of some popup QToolButtons and adapts their look and behavior to KToolBarButtons
* the content of popup menus with a side pixmap is visible again (Amarok, Digikam)
* adapts KMenu's section header style
* fixes Kickoff's tab icon alignment
* fixes possible crash with enabled text effect
* lets apps using their own label colors on tabs (if they're not defaulting to a fixed color like konsole)
* decoration: option "dark window frame" draws a darker frame
* decoration: borders are hidden when in maximized mode and moving / resizing of maximized windows is not allowed.

 Fading

Just a suggestion, but is there any way you can get the button icons to sort of fade in and out. I tried a black and white version of this theme with the background and button icons white and the buttons black, and it looked really, really cool, but no fading. Otherwise amazing deco.

 New version?

Hi! Your style is awesome; I'm waiting very-very eagerly for the next version. Any hints regarding that?

Redoing the pixmaps (to make them look good with bright colors) took longer than expected. I estimate I will be able to do a release at the end of this month, if nothing comes between.

Your style is like fresh air in the field of kde styles.
I like what you've done with konqueror tabs ;)
However I miss some options to tune it to my taste :
- change button outline thickness (text input fields are very subtle but buttons look out of place in comparison)
- edit menu background gradient
- edit menu selected item bakground
- configure konqueror tabs backgournd gradient.
It look like a VERY promising style.

Keep up the good work !

 2 small problems

First of all, this is a great theme !!! Honestly, that's the first style I see that is not Windows-ish, Mac-Ish or whatever-ish. It's giving my linux box a real specific linux look and feel. Thanks for this.

I have just 2 problems with it. First scroll bar is not correctly rendered with qt-gtk engine. Sure it's not your fault but I can imagine that it is a 2 minutes job for you to understand what they done wrong and provide a simple patch.

Second problem is more in your area (and most important perhaps). Some application just crash when using this style. The most obvious one (crashing at start up) is vym. vym is easy to compile or to install and fast to run, so it should be easy to debug.

The problems in the gtk-qt engine are already solved by its author in his svn directory. You can download it here:
http://gtk-qt.ecs.soton.ac.uk/

I will release a (hopefully) crash free version this month, but if you can't wait you can patch the 0.2 version with this patches available here:
http://home.arcor.de/michaellentner/
The one that fixes the vym crash is the missing_groupBox_parent_check.patch.

PS The next version will bring you nice half transparent disabled icons on non KDE applications (instead of the "holes") :)
