Description:

I know how much real coders "love" pixmap decos ;) Ok--so pixmaps are lame! But it's still fun and something a n0n-hax0r can do. So I made an svg template of common widgets and a .themerc file can (and should) be modified to fit your taste. Also included is an install script. Now anyone with some inkscape skillz can make a custom style. By the way---I am learning to code a style so please don't flame me for this. One day I shall redeem myself!

Changelog:

I cleaned it up a bit and got rid of the gradients in the themerc file. I made a few for pixmaps to control the gradients on buttons. This means you dont have to change the themerc file :)

Remember:this is designed as a template for you to create new themes off of. Be creative. If anyone nows how to make pixmap deco themes using anything other that basicstyle, please let me know.

I wish I could change the basic style to look beter but its hardcoded. I have ideas for a theme engine that allows one to import their own custom pixmaps to change everything--even the window border. Think Dekorator, but not just for windeco's. Computers are fast these days and so pixmap themes arent slow like they used to be.

The frames around everything are 3d in the Motif style (meaning they appear to project from the screen). I don't know how to make a code based theme so I use the builtin "basicstyle.la" which uses pixmaps. There is no way with basicstyle to change the frame deco's---only things such as buttons, comboboxes, sliders etc. If I am wrong, please tell me how. I am learning to code a style and am working on a Dekorator inspired design. You could build an entire theme set and install it simply by pointing to the *.tgz. It would be based off a template where you could just insert your svg's or pixmaps into the allotted area and viola---it would make a style. If you are a coder and want to help, email me.

nothing is hard coded, virtually everything is changeable

bevel frames can be changed ;)
the themed style frames are soooo ugly and hardcoded
but I think I have a solution...

http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=35929

this lets the BevelButton serve as BevelFrame for themed styles

so, make a nice bevel button pixmap with border and the tab, progress and spinbox frames use that border

pixmap borders for themed styles, no more hardcoded
