Description:

Hi all,
I wonder what are you trying to do? A second Windows' GUI the same as we have in Vista? Many projects in 'Kde4 Brainstorm' are certainly based on Microsoft's newests GUI. Why do not you make something new? Something that will impress everyone, something that will show that Linux is better than Windows even if we talk about GUI...
Please remember that Microsoft is the owner of it's GUI and we should not to copy it. It is not on GPL licence.
The Windows' GUI is quite nice. That is true. But please believe me... We can do it better.
Do not try to be like a Microsoft's graphic. Try to be better.

 understanding

?? I haven't seen a mockup here like the alphacube theme (that's the theme of Vista).
If you're talking about minimalist interfaces, well, just they are so good
that anybody fell in love for. Check also
gentle gnome mockup here to understand what I'm telling. Actual Kde has just
the defect of a "too big" interface (just
look how big are buttons, compared to gnome or other GUIs).
If you're talking about white color.... well, not Vista nor everyone else can put
copyright on white color, I hope....
(and so far, I've seen lots of white + dark gray themes, never seen similar in Vista).

Please explain me what you would like, a black theme?

It is not a matter of a few colours. F.e. the KMenu is Like a StartMenu in Windows. I have seend Konqueror looks like IExplorer in Vista. There is many similar things at 'KDE4 Brainstorm' that we can find in Windows Vista.

KMenu????? Kmenu is just a menu, what do you feel like Vista???? as far as I've
seen the only kmenu idea whit some votes
and some usability is http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=34681
but is quite unusual and I fear having it
as the only choiche would disappoint lots of peoples (as optional choiche is really good, imho).

Just a question: what part of kmenu you
find so similar to Vista (and not to, let's say, gnome-menu...)??

Well I think, that the developers just use the most usefull types of interface. They could do something new, but it would dissapoint a lot of people. Btw. vista is crap in compare of Linux with KDE/Gnome. In KDE you have many choices.

 copyright bullshit??

If you mean M$ claims copyright to their Vista GUI in a way these KDE ideas are in violation, then let me remind you they stole those ideas 1-to-1 from the Mac. Furthermore this issue is very complicated, because different laws on copyright, patents, etc. exists in different countries. isn't KDE, for example, based in Germany? isn't patent and copyright law less absurdly stringent in Europe than in the US??

with steeling?! Very pointing someone wrote bullshit; To describe the problem debated in germany we have a word: What was first? The bird or the egg?! Why always stress out "we are better than MS" by writing it on every flag?! What's the bad thing with adopting good ideas one from another! I'm tired of this kind of differences. Did someone already hear that a copyright law did fall?! Not KDE and Linux and not MS Vista are the nostrum...It's such an stupid thing to disagree about that.

Who disagrees: You're an idiot!
