Description:

Hi all,
I wonder what are you trying to do? A second Windows' GUI the same as we have in Vista? Many projects in 'Kde4 Brainstorm' are certainly based on Microsoft's newests GUI. Why do not you make something new? Something that will impress everyone, something that will show that Linux is better than Windows even if we talk about GUI...
Please remember that Microsoft is the owner of it's GUI and we should not to copy it. It is not on GPL licence.
The Windows' GUI is quite nice. That is true. But please believe me... We can do it better.
Do not try to be like a Microsoft's graphic. Try to be better.

 Stealing...?

Just about all of the "new" features in Microsoft's upcoming vista have been seen somewhere else. They copy from everyone, KDE, Mac, Sun, and whoever else has something pretty. I don't mind that people are coming up with things similar to other operating systems but I think that first and foremost we should try to innovative. After that we should make sure that everything that is created not only looks better but runs better, less resources, greater speed so that while, as an example, people running Vista have to turn off the features to get any performance while users of kde can use all the bells and whistles.

 A better idea

If you have any better ideas, I'd like to see them. Let the voting system take care of weeding out ideas. (One of my favorite anonymous quotes is "To have a good idea is to have many ideas")

My personal motto regarding submissions is to only submit ideas, and to only comment if I have something constructive to say.
