Its basically a tool to repair broken downloaded files, one use is in binary files obtained from usenet.

Very useful, and something that's been needed.

I'm not one to care about spelling too much, esp in a forum or IRC or whatever, but in an app a lot of people will be using, I hope it is OK if I act as a spellchecker once in a while ;)

Verify not varify. No need to capitalize the A in "Choose A par2 file." Also, you instruct to Verify or Recover, but there is no Verify button. There is a check button. Change that to a verify button, or alter the instructions

Also, you might put the instructions above the filechoose widget. It's a bit odd to have the first instruction below the widget one uses to follow it.

Not intended as criticisms, if this wasn't the sort of app I would use frequently, I wouldn't bother :) Good work!

Seems like it doesn't like my font size. When I start the program, the text and the controls are half covered, and can't
be read or used. When I resize the window, the contents don't resize as well, they stay where they are.

this kind of app was missing !
i have just a problem, when I repair a file, the percent of the progress is not shown until the repair is finished oO.
maybe you could add a progress bar ? it would be great !

Thanks for this - really nice. I have two suggestions:

1. Let the user see the output as it's happening. I guess you could spawn another shell, I've seen other kommander scripts do this. Not as pretty as showing the output inside the GUI window, I know. Perhaps there's a way to embed a konsole window?

2. Add service menu support so that the user can right-click (or even left click) on a par2 file as an alternative way to open the script. You might also use an installer so that this utility is added to the KDE menu, etc.
