Description:

There were many requests that someone should port roberTO's great gtk-theme VistaBut (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=32227) to KDE... so, here it is!

Well, it's not a standalone theme but a mod for Lipstik.

Instructions on how to install are included in the package.

Credit goes to roberTO21 and PaT!

Changelog:

0.2:
Custom Colored Menubar is possible now!
Fixed that underlining-bug... hopefully. If it still occurs please drop a comment.
Included Kbfx-Skin and Kickerbg

0.1b:
Thanks to loki (Pascal Bleser) the mod can be enabeld through the lipstik configuration dialogue

 Wrong name of file.

 by Freddan80 on: Jan 8 2006

Score 50%

In your readme file it says to run the command, "cat lipstik-vistesque.diff | patch -p1", but you have named the .diff file only lipstik-vitesque, so it would be good to either change the name of the .diff file or make a new readme with the command changed.

Otherwise a goodlooking mod for Lipstik. /// Freddan

Hummm.

I just downloaded this and extracted it and I show a file named "lipstik-vitesque.diff" which corresponds to the file mentioned in the Readme file.

This is copied directly from the readme file.

"Installation Instructions:
copy lipstik-vistesque.diff in your lipstik directory
cd to your lipstik directory
run "cat lipstik-vistesque.diff | patch -p1"
run "make" and "make install"
enable "enable Vistesque" in the lipstik-configuration dialogue"

The actually .diff file is named "lipstik-vitesque.diff"

I believe that the .diff file is simply named wrong, bacause the mod itself is called Vistesque. /// Freddan

Hi
I've made an Gentoo ebuild for Lipstik-2.1 including the Vistesque-Patch.

Download it at:
http://rivendell.homelinux.org/~elias/portage/lipstik-2.1.ebuild

If you don't know how to handle "external" ebuilds in portage, have a look at this HowTo:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Installing_3rd_Party_Ebuilds

Greetings

Elias P.

it works thanks! One question: is there a short howto, how to make third party ebuilds?

I've made a package for Debian Sid/unstable (KDE 3.5) with the patch for the runtime configuration.

Get it at http://peppesbodega.nu/gallery/Debian%20Packages/KDE/Widget%20styles
Just remember to uninstall your other lipstik-package.

Say, I've enabled Vistesque .. but I still don't have that dark menubar as shown on your screenshot. Did I miss something?

Also, no Polymer look (shiny tab/menu)

I take my word back. What I need to do was launching a new app. it seems that the setting will affect new launched app only.

Nice work, btw :)
