Description:

I don't have time or motivation to maintain this icon theme anymore (this theme has not changed since version 3.3, Mar 17 2007). The fact that it still "kinda" works nearly a decade later (2015) is a small miracle. If anyone wants to take over its ownership, please contact me.
====================

This is (was) a complete refresh of the original OSX icon theme by Toby. I fixed every missing icon I could find, fixed the "tiny icon" problem and made enhancements. It is somewhat of a hybrid theme: I tried to make choices that seemed logical trying to keep a balance between usability and strict adherence to OS X.

2015 update: fixed the download link, nothing else.

Dude, keep up the freakin' awesome work! These are the best icons I have EVER seen! I give this set *****/***** (5/5)!!!

There's one thing though, in Ubuntu, the Recent Documents icon under the "Places" menu is missing. I think it was there under your other OSX releases... what happened to it?

Microsoft gives you Windows, Linux gives you the whole house...

"sudo apt-get moo"

The recent-documents icon: I will try to look into it and fix it, but I don't know which one it is. May take a little while. The "packed" icon: what is that? The "opendocument" icon? What is that? All my od* files have a proper icon.

I am running Dapper Drake, by the way.

kiddo:
First of all, a great job well done! Really appreciate the icons you have created.

I had pretty much the same problem, where all mimetype icons are not showing up and the gnome default icons were used. The 'packed' icon agd is referring to, I believe, is the one for compressed files, whereas the opendocuments are the new format OpenOffice2 is using. I have now figured out what the problem is, and have solved it.(please keep reading for what I have done to resolve the problem)

BTW, I am using Ubuntu, Breezy 5.10

agd:
I had the same problem. I found that it was due to the naming of the icons. You need to rename all the icons in the mimetypes directory (~/.icons/OSX/scalable/mimetypes/) to start with "gnome-mime-" (without the quotes.) There are about 20 or so links, you will also need to relink those files. Good Luck!
