Description:

This is the first wallpaper I've created, it was made and edited with GIMP,Its Nice and Lite yet nice and pretty! =o Feel Free to do what ever you want with it.

It was made in a 1600 x 1200 Format but its best viewed in 1280x1024 and 1024x768

Though I love your wallpaper as much as I love Hitomi :), you aught to be careful about posting stuff like that on here. I'm not sure if Namco have put pictures like that in the public domain, but if not then you've broken the rules.

Sorry, is this GPL ? If not you don'tt have the right to post it. Also, I don't think that posts featuring nude & half-nude persons are real GPL or just free.
Finding the photo in google images doesn't mean you have the right to use it . ( Just an example )

If expilict material is not allowed on this web site then by all means have an admin remove it, and as far as Namco goes I guarantee that this Picture is not under an original copyright considering that the image is nothing like the original copyrighted work.

You need permission from the original copyright holder before you may modify a work. You do not have permission from the orginal artist to place a derivative work under the GPL.

Post it here if you want, just don't put the GPL on top of it, because that's hypocritical in the extreme. Do not pretend that this image is Free, because it is not!

Thanks, I didnt know about the explicit part of GPL so I will change it, but on the other hand,
    The original wasnt edited
This Image was created from scrap with that character placed into it, and DOAX is not a trade mark of Tecmo so I am in no violations of Copyrights etc.

The problem he had with the picture is that you're not allowed to place a character which is copyrighted (in this case Hitomi from Dead or Alive) unless you have express permission from the author (Namco). If they put the picture of the character up on the internet saying explicitly that you can use it in whatever way you want then that's fine, otherwise you're in breach of copyright and that's against the web site rules.

It doesn't matter if the rest of the picture is your own work and you just put the character into the picture, it's still illegal to do this in most countries including where the KDE-Look servers are located.

Understood, and The Orginial Picture is Property of Tecmo but Tecmo does not have Character Design Rights over The character Hitomi along with any of the Charaters of "Dead or Alive" ( Character Design Rights are Designated In Images as [Character Design/ *Authors Name]). With the Implication of A Second-Party Independent Image, Tecmo basically owns only half of the Original. To Sum it up Tetsuya Nomura has all rights reserved for Hitomi and all the "Dead or Alive" Characters.

and A Character Design Licence Is almost Identical to the Principals of GPL so as long as I keep the Character Intact then I can do anything I want With This Wallpaper
