this kdm-theme was made to be used with the splashscreen 'login-scan 'splash'' based on the 'Fingerprint' by moodwrod!

this should be the attempt to combine kdm with kde-splashscreens.
so you should try to install the splashscreen and see what happens (:

Unfortunately there's no background_transparent.png provided in this package. It would be nice if you included it, because your frame around the username and password input widgets is just beautiful!

For those of you out there who, like me, do not have a monitor that can push out 1280x1024 but can do 1280x960, I've created a modified version of this theme. It can be downloaded at http://www.wiard.net/login-scan-splash-1280x960.tar.bz2. Mine kept reshaping to 1280x1024 even though the theme's base resolution is supposed to be 1280x960. I just resized the images and reset the coords for text on the screen.

Hey fellows!

emerged that kdm-theme AND its korresponding splashtheme for kde under a gentoo system. I can apply the splash-theme, it works and looks pretty fine. But i aon't got 'kdmtheme' in my control center!
Is this an additional tool for kde?
didn't find any ebuild for this..

can someone help me with this?

Copy the untared package to /usr/kde/3.4/share/apps/kdm/themes/

(example: /usr/kde/3.4/share/apps/kdm/themes/login-scan-fusion/
)
then modify your /usr/kde/3.4/share/config/kdm/kdmrc

edit/add these commands/options

Theme=/usr/kde/3.4/share/apps/kdm/themes/login-scan-fusion
UseTheme=true

(you find them in the "[X-*-Greeter]" Section)
