Changelog:

-fixed some errors in xml file and now that i got a domain i'm hosting the file there so you guys can donwload the file directly withou rapidshare crap. gonna announce a new release (1.2) soon with new emoticons.

- i've just added more and done little changes to xml file, now we have more than 100 emoticons! :D thanks to dave.

guys, i received a lot of emails asking for transparent backgrounds. because of licensing issues i can't do that and post to download. sorry.

... i don't think these icons are under GPL. i just read a part of the EULA and it says

"THIS PRODUCT AND ALL THE FEATURES LISTED ABOVE ARE FREE"

(but it doesn't say "free" as in "freebeer" or as in "freedom") and a bit later:

"You may not rent, sell, lease, sublicense, distribute, assign, copy [...], or in any way transfer the Software or use the Software for the benefit of any third party [...]"

it seems to be ok to host and redistribute the icons here, but as is said, choosing GPL in the upload dialog might not be the best choice.

I think these emoticons are a bit too huge. A slightly smaller size would be awesome

They have white background. Since they are all PNGs, you might as well make them transparent. Otherwise they'd suck on custom background colors

The emoticons.xml file only refers to specialized action maps such as (shower) -- what about the regular emoticons such as :-) and :-( ?

First, thanks very much for the feedback.
About the transparency i'm already working on it and surely will be in next release.. about 2 or 3 weeks from now because i've been busy last days..
And about the xml, I received some e-mails asking to let it this way because some people want to use the theme and the normal smileys.. so they don't want to use the emoticons all the time and i agree it's annoying.. this way let the people to use the emoticons just when they want to use them.

I actually think that there is a need for the ':)' and ';)' etc. links for icons. So it is possible to use it more 'out-of-the-box'.
You could distribute the current .xml file in the package so the people can manually use that one.
