First make sure you have the latest Metabar. Available at http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=21168

Then simply extract the files into $KDEDIR/share/apps/metabar/html/ and restart konqueror.

But I have one problem: When I start Konqueror my sidebar is blank. I have to click on a file/folder to make all the menus appear. When I then get back to my home folder it's fine, so It's just the initial state that's messed up. Any solutions?

If this is the first time you have installed Metabar, you probably dont have actions and links setup. Right click over the sidebar and select "Configure Metabar" to add links and such.

Very nice theme!
But i found one small bug. I don't know is it "metabar" or only "theme" bug.

This is a theme bug, due the the use of gradients in the graphics, the width cannot be changed. The good news though is that we are busy designing some new graphics atm and should have a new release which will fix this bug sometime tonight (GMT+2) or the very latest, tomorrow night.

hi, i followed the instructions of your INSTALL file but it simply doesn't work :|
i restarted konqueror but it stays exactly the same way. doesn't update...
any idea what it might be?
i'm using gentoo so my $KDEDIR stays under /usr/kde/3.4

treat $KDEDIR as your homedir/.kde/ and ommit the directory existing in the archive, so extract the files directly to homedir/.kde/share/apps/metabar/html/.
it worked with my gentoo
