Description:

This is a preview of my first icon theme, for sometime now i've been wanting to do a icon theme thats different. I'm planning to do the main common GNOME apps icons, then work on mime types. I had some great ideas comming for icons like soundjuicer, etc and the hole idea of this icon set is, fun, clean and different.

Icons were designed in Inkscape and colour corrected in The GIMP :-)

Changelog:

0.1 - Added new Home and trash icons.

0.2 - Added new screenshots and new mimetypes, 19 mimetype so far. changed new trash full icon. Changed folder icon to look closed.

----------------Released---------------
0.3 - Added new screenshots
- Changed mimetypes to not slant giving better quality.
- Added new icons and mimetypes.
- Enhanced icon colours and added soft shadows in The GIMP.

Version 0.4
-updated screenshot of new icon sound juicer
- Made gnome menu logo small to fit like default
- Added many more mimetypes, including .c, .h and .o source types.
- Changed name of the usb device(memory sticks, ect)icon to harddisk-usb not removable-usb.
-Put real text in mimetypes rather than the impression of text.
- Added new emblems

Version 0.5
- Added new icons, Eye of Gnome, Network and Computer
- Redesigned computer icon (was never happy with it anyway)
- Added many more mimetypes, now over 40 in total.
- Optimized size of icons by about 70%, now only 1.1Mb instead of over 4Mb.
- Gnome Foot is now a major part of this set and will containue to be (clear about where the design is going)
- Added new screenshot of new icons.

Version 0.6
- Added new filesystem icons when using "connect to server" feature, ftp, nfs, ssh, smb.
- Added more mimetypes, now over 50 in total.
- Added some new application icons like firefox, gnome menu icons and a couple for gnome control center.
- Added actions and stock icons.
- Fixed a few names that where wrong with devices.
- Didn't use any colour saturation on icons, slightly less colourful.
- Added a new screenshot of with firefox icon.

Yes the Computer icon is awful and I was never happy with it, the 0.5 release has a much better fitting one(see screenshot).

I have also addressed the icons sizes, see the readme and changes.

Thanks,

The foots theme will be limited to core gnome rather than other application icons. It's more a say what you see theme, thats why there are foots :-)

 bad firefox symlink

The symlink for mozilla-firefox.png is an absolute link, which won't work unless your username happens to be sean. :-) It should be fixed to be a relative symlink instead, e.g. (cd ~/.icons/AquiGnome/128x128/apps/ && ln -s firefox.png mozilla-firefox.png).

Other than that, nice work!

I tried it on my mums Mandriva 10.2 and it works fine. Try installing it manually in the .icon folder.
