Description:

Tiblit is a KDE style focused on customization and experiments with modern human-computer interaction. My aim with the project is to create a highly customizable QT style that looks completely different than what is currently available.

A bit of a warning about 2.0 beta. Don't bother complaining. It's _extremely_ rough around the edges and I'm building a new tiblit around a different engine. 3.0? Eh...

Build contributions:
The BSD port is provided by dolmant1.
The ebuild is provided by Lenz.

Patch contributions:
Chris Parker - Styleconf

Changelog:

Tiblit Development Versions now available via anonymous pserver cvs access on sourceforge.

 Windowmanager icons?

by ArKay on: Feb 19 2005

Hello,

somehow KDE's Windowmanager icons are gone in most styles. I don't know which option triggers this but there might be a bug somewhere :(

Window manager icons?

You mean minimize, maximize, close, the like? Or the popup menu when you right click a title bar?

And what do you mean most styles, I'm not following.

 How to install?

by kza on: Feb 20 2005

Normally one does the old ./configure
make
make install, then goes to the theme manager and selects it, but the theme manager is empty when I install this one. How can I find it and use it?

This isn't a theme. It's a style. Check there.

I would have to say, this is by far, my favorite style. I love the fact that I can have more control of how my theming and colorizing looks. It compiles and runs smoothly with 3.4.0-rc1 of KDE and looks great. I would love to see a lot of new color schemes pop up on this site for this ;)

Love the faces of those who see you fixing windoz with a Linux live cd.

Thanks. Good to hear it compiles clean in qt 3.4 / kde 3.4. If you come up with a color scheme or tiblit scheme, send it to me. I'd like to include it.

My qt version is under frequent cvs updating. So when it stops working with this style I'll let you know ;)

Is there a way to remove the lines around places like combo boxes and tabs. Just like the buttons where you can make them almost blend with the color theme?

For example: for a bone white theme when you want things to be primarily flat.

peace

 feature request

by nightdragon on: Feb 27 2005

1. Is it possible to add an option to flatten the scroll bar? i.e. remove the beveling?
2. Can the progress bar 'not' be striped as an option?
3. Is there some way of making the status bar flat?

As far as the styles, I have a lot of styles I authored over at crackedmonkey when I used bblean a year ago that Im working on converting. Still wish there was some way a style could use these style files... but... I authored those under the name of Nightbreed. I'll send you a some of them as soon as I generate enough.

You should make as many things user color definable as you can.. ;) lol

I can add that, yeah.

I can add a non-striped version.

Markup some graphics for me and I'll see.

Suprisingly, I still have a ways to go with colorizing everything. Thanks for the feedback.

It is the feature "Custom brush color" that other styles such as Comix uses". I think that's it. But if you look at comix and even lipstik you can see the status bar in something like konqueror is completely flat. I'll still send moc ups though. I already have them done.

Peace.

 Bugs

by Deciare on: Feb 28 2005

Score 50%

It looks like the up and left scroll buttons are still gradiented in the wrong direction (relative to the scrollbar groove and the down and right arrows).

Some combo boxes and some toolbar buttons (Firefox toolbar, GKrellM Net config, Gimp config) in GTK-Qt are now entirely coloured by the button/combobox prelight colour regardless of whether the "only for inner circumference" option is set.

Website form buttons and combo boxes are also not following the "inner circumference only" option for prelighting.

I can't seem to figure out what the decay gradient options do...

Hence the prototype. ;)

Turning on menu gradients in XRender mode allows menus to take advantage of the KPixmapEffect class. All those gradient types are usable by menus.

Ah, I see. Those menu gradients certainly are a lot more flexible than I expected.

They'd be even better if there was a decay rate that would cause colour A to fade completely to colour B before it reached the opposite edge of the menu, like maybe at the 1/4 point. :)

I never use konqueror as a browser, so I haven't fixed those yet. :) I see the form mode button problem, that I can fix, but gtk-qt can't keep up with the style yet. Especially with menus.

Thanks for the feedback and bug hunting!
