The only downside is that the graphics don't look too well.

I tried this out. I'd use it permanently if the bar was on the right-hand side rather than the left-hand side. Window controls are typically in the upper right-hand corner. So if the SideKap bar was on the right-hand-side and the control buttons at the top of the bar rather than the bottom, the controls would be in almost the same position as I am, and probably most people are, used to from typical window decorations.

Good concept and execution, though.

I tried installing this on system with RedHat 8 (./configure, make, make install) but I the window decoration is not available as a selection. Did I forget to do something?

I love it, but i agree, the buttons would be alot more convenient at the top of the bar. And when the window is shaded(double click the bar) if you try to unshade it the same way, it doesnt do anything, if not for that, i would definently use this, Very very nice idea, i love the origional ones =)

Is there a version which compiles with KDE 3.3/3.4? Or does anybody know any other decorations with the title bar on the side?
