 How to create a KIO

by pinaraf on: Nov 14 2004

Score 50%

Hi

I would like to create a KIO too, but I don't find any _good_ documentation. I found http://www.heise.de/ct/english/01/05/242/ but it's not enough.
Where is my dream ? :p Or where can I find a small KIO showing only two folders for instance, in order to work with a good base ?

Thanks...

Sorry, but kio_p7zip doesn't work. I've created an rpm for openSUSE, which ships with KDE 3.4.2.

I get a dialog and it asks me wether to save or open it with another application.

inserting p7zip:/path/file.7z worked,
how do I tell my Konqueror to open every file with the kio? settings-> file association -> integration didn't solved.

Sorry, but this kioslave is far from ready.
I should to rewrite the kioslave to use the 7-zip library directly instead using the 7za program and this will take some time.
Using the 7za program leads to some limitations.
