Description:

Comix flat style for KDE 3.2+.

I hope this adds a little more fun to your desktop.
Thanks to all the authors of previous styles published for KDE. Please read AUTHORS, README and TODO.

Use the styles configuration button to overwrite the contour drawing color.
Use KDEs ControlCenter "Colors" dialog to adjust buttons- and highlight-color as well as the contrast.
Use kcontrols window decoration config-dialog to adjust title alignment and border width.

Also check the corresponding cursor theme at: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=32627

 Good !

Hi there Jens !
Finally, a newer version of my fav kdetheme. YEAH !!!
Thank you =)

I just found a little problem while creatin an rpm package for it, take a look at this:

+ make DESTDIR=/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILDROOT/kdetheme-comix-1.3-root install
Making install in colorscheme
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3/colorscheme'
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3/colorscheme'
make[2]: No se hace nada para `install-exec-am'.
if test -f /usr/lib/kde3/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes/comix.kcsrc; then \
rm -f /usr/lib/kde3/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes/comix.kcsrc; \
fi
rm: no se puede borrar «/usr/lib/kde3/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes/comix.kcsrc»: Permiso denegado
make[2]: *** [uninstall-obsolete] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3/colorscheme'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3/colorscheme'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

comix compiles ok, but make install DESTDIR= seems to be the trouble maker :s

see ya and thanks for keeping comix updated =)

Hi gnemmi,

looks like my custom obsolete color-scheme removal fails when creating RPMs. There is a section in colorscheme/Makefile.in (colorscheme/Makefile.am if you want to "make -f Makefile.cvs"), that reads like this:

uninstall-obsolete:
## remove the obsolete scheme file
if test -f $(kde_datadir)/kdisplay/color-schemes/comix.kcsrc; then \
rm -f $(kde_datadir)/kdisplay/color-schemes/comix.kcsrc; \
fi

.PHONY: uninstall-obsolete

Please just remove it out of the files and try again, it's just cosmetic. I will upload a fixed version 1.3.1 in a minute.

Aloha
Jens

+ make DESTDIR=/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILDROOT/kdetheme-comix-1.3.1-root install
Making install in colorscheme
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3.1/colorscheme'
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3.1/colorscheme'
make[2]: No se hace nada para `install-exec-am'.
make[2]: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `uninstall-obsolete', necesario para `install-data-local'. Alto.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3.1/colorscheme'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILD/comix-1.3.1/colorscheme'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
error: Bad exit status from /home/gnemmi/paquetes/comix/BUILDROOT/rpm-tmp.8439 (%install)

:s

make[2]: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `uninstall-obsolete', necesario para `install-data-local'. Alto.

translates as:

make[2]: *** No rule to build the object`uninstall-obsolete' needed to`install-data-local'. Stop

see ya =)

 Ebuild updated

Sorry folks. I missed the entire 1.3 release in the ebuild.

I've updated the ebuild for 1.3.1, and it now supports the color scheme + building with/without ARTS support.

Let me know if you have any problems using it.

You're the one that does all the work. I just write/tweak shell scripts. ;-)

But you're welcome, and thank YOU for this excellent Theme!

P.S.: I'm up to date with 1.3.2 on the ebuild.

Conectiva Linux 10 rpms can now be found on my place: http://www.linuxdicas.com.ar/caleb/rpm

or on my apt-get enabled repository. Conectiva user just need to add the following lines to their /etc/atp/sources.list file:

rpm ftp://mirror.de9.ime.eb.br/pub/conectiva/contrib 10/conectiva caleb
rpm-src ftp://mirror.de9.ime.eb.br/pub/conectiva/contrib 10/conectiva caleb

... nice thread. It seems to be a comix bug. Not using amarok i have no idea what yours are talking about, but will try to compile an svn version to get comix fixed.
Thanks for the report.
