Description:

A new render experiment. I'd love to know what people think.

I do have PNG but the site limit is a bit low :)

....on some distro's like cool linux live or Mandrake 9.2 and 10.0. You will also need to download the POVray engine and install as root (for mandrake).

From the POVray site, you can find other peoples 3D work.

PS- Your design is very cool.

I also use Kpov as a visual aid in designing light pipes, prisms and lenses for custom sensor systems at work. Its very helpful for the electro-mechanical-optics design folks. It does have some technical limitations though. Kpov is for art, not science. :(

All that is true.

As far as science goes, we can only do what Povray is capable of.

For light the new photon system is very good, and can produce some amazing results. Refractions are finally handled properly, not faked with some inaccurate caustic algorithm.
