[ FAQ ]

question: the buttons for the window border being on the left,
is that a theme thing or can that be configured somewhere?

Answer: ( original tutorial by -fissy. )

using the "run program" action or a terminal, start gconf by typing:

gconf-editor

and hitting enter.

This program is a bit like the registry editor for windows.

In the tree on the left you need to go to /apps/metacity/general/

There is then a key in the right pane called "button_layout"

edit this key so that it reads:

CODE
close,minimize,maximize:menu

or
CODE
close,maximize,minimize:menu

enjoy!

Changelog:

2. Port the icon theme(only 48x48 and 64x64 icons) go along with the GTK2 theme.

Hi, I saw your screenshot and I got wondering. Is it really Mac OS X or is Gnome? and if it is Gnome. Which version are you running and how did you got the panel to look in that way?

It is 100% in Gnome. I'm running Fedora core 1.

The dock at the bottom of the screen may called "StarterBar of gDesklets".

and the mmenu bar at the top of the screen is now a independent program and maybe get to be a desplay of gDesklets in the future.

Where can I get this independent program that produces the top menubar? O:)

Its the single one thing that I'm still missing from MacOS.

Thanks

Same question here! What software do you use for your docker. It really looks like the osX one.

I have to line up with the other posts and say "wow, what launch bar are you running?!" =) Noticed that you said it is some sort of hacked version and not the original gdesklet. How come you havent made a beta/alpha rel out of it? It's not like the non-hacked version is very stable anyways and I know Im itching to try this one out. If you descide to make my day a whole lot better and send it my way then I wouldnt hold it against you ;)

 Great!!!

Another very deserved "Great work".

Just two notes:
a) Where I can find all the "MacOS-X" icons found on the screenshots you have posted?. When I install this theme, for example, I can't see "Trash" or "Folder" icon but only a standard one

b) a very frequent error: /root/.themes/MacOS-X/gtk-2.0/icons/iconrc:116: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gtk-two-column.png"

I'm glad you like this theme. :)

a) you may find lots of similar icons from the following page :
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=2242&PHPSESSID=88d153fa3186431707c3850900bde387

b) you may get the missing file at the following URL :
http://home.pchome.com.tw/young/sysop007/icons/gtk-two-column.png
then copy it to ~/.themes/MacOS-X/gtk-2.0/icons/

I installed your theme as your instruction said, but the result is not as good as yours. My buttons and menus don't have the round aqua background. What's wrong? My system is Fedora Core 1.

Hi !

I'm not sure, but I think it seems to be the GTK pixmap engine not installed or not works fine.

Hello!

This is cool theme, thank you!

But I don't like that when I select some
buttons, this button is white and a text in this button is white too. So text is unreadable :-(

How to fix that?
